To add another data point...
I've been using Jekyll for about a year now. Back when I started looking at
static side generators, I looked at various options and Jekyll looked to be
the best supported and most extensible one. That said, I've had to
modify/write several plugins to make it do things I wanted, so you probably
need to be willing to get your hands dirty.
